Our Story – Maple Aquatics

Maple Aquatics has always been about more than simply cleaning ponds. It grew from a genuine passion for fish, ponds and aquatic life, and over the years that passion has developed into a family business helping customers throughout Norfolk and Suffolk.

Where It All Began

Maple Aquatics was established in 2005, although our experience and interest in fishkeeping and ponds goes back much further.

What started with a love and understanding of aquatic life gradually developed into a business specialising in the care, maintenance and improvement of ponds.

Over the years, Maple Aquatics has continued to grow and evolve, but the principles behind the business have remained much the same: provide knowledgeable advice, do the job properly and treat every customer's pond as an individual environment.

From Aquatic Retail to Specialist Pond Services

Many local customers will remember Maple Aquatics from our years in the aquatic retail trade in the Dereham area.

Working directly with fish, pond equipment, pumps, filters and water-quality products gave us a wealth of practical knowledge that simply can't be gained from a textbook.

It also meant spending years talking to pond owners about the problems they experienced — from green water and failing filtration to sick fish, leaking ponds and ponds that had simply become too difficult to manage.

That experience helped shape the Maple Aquatics of today.

As the business developed, we increasingly concentrated on what we know best: getting out to customers' ponds and solving problems first-hand.

Experience That Makes a Difference

No two ponds are exactly alike.

Some simply need regular maintenance to keep them looking their best. Others may not have been touched for years and require extensive cleaning, silt removal and restoration.

We've worked with small garden ponds, wildlife ponds, ornamental ponds, fish ponds, koi ponds and larger bodies of water, dealing with everything from routine maintenance to much more challenging restoration work.

Our services have grown to include pond cleaning, pond maintenance, pond repairs, pond re-lining, pond restoration, pumps, filtration and general aquatic services.

Because of our background in aquatics and fishkeeping, we don't simply look at the appearance of a pond. We consider the complete environment — the fish, water quality, filtration, circulation, plants and the condition of the pond itself.

A Family Business

Despite the changes over the years, Maple Aquatics remains a family-run business.

We believe customers value being able to speak directly with someone who understands ponds and can give straightforward, practical advice.

Sometimes that means recommending substantial work. Other times it means telling a customer that their pond doesn't need as much doing as they initially thought.

Building that trust has been an important part of the business since the beginning.

Maple Aquatics Today

Today, Maple Aquatics provides specialist pond and aquatic services throughout Norfolk and Suffolk, travelling to homes, gardens, estates and larger properties to help customers care for and improve their ponds.

Technology and pond equipment have changed considerably since we started, but our approach hasn't.

We still believe in good old-fashioned service, practical experience and doing what's right for the pond and its inhabitants.

From a straightforward seasonal pond clean to restoring a pond that has been neglected for many years, every job receives the same care and attention.

After more than two decades, we're proud that Maple Aquatics continues to be a name customers can turn to for knowledgeable, friendly and professional pond care.
